Bing Search for Travel queries
During my journey of 2.5+ years of designing for Microsoft travel - I was also responsible for defining the Bing Search experience of certain travel charters. This is an overview of my role & work.
INTRODUCTION
Microsoft developed Bing as a search engine in 2009 as a competitor to Google. It used to be called ‘Windows Live Search’ and ‘MSN Search’. Currently available on a variety of devices, Bing can be accessed via a web browser or a mobile application. As the second largest search engine globally, Bing differentiates itself by being more visual, and focus on AI and chat for their search experiences.
Today, around 100+ Million users are active on Bing daily (3+ Billion MAU) 🚀
Bing holds over 3.5% of the global search engine market (12% in Desktop), and generated an estimated $12+ billion in net ad revenue by end of 2023
